Mission

NanoMaterials Design & Commercialization Center at Alliance is a consortium of leading Aerospace, Defense and Advanced Manufacturing companies, research universities, community colleges and the State of Texas. The centerpiece of the NDCC value proposition is an Innovation Infrastructure that allows NDCC members to leverage research investments to more quickly solve pre-proprietary technological challenges which frees up scarce internal resources to develop proprietary applications for advanced performance materials.

Harnessing the novel properties of these new materials – lighter, stronger "active" materials which can offer greater heat resistance, energy-harvesting, self-healing, and embedded sensor capabilities – will require skilled workforces to produce them – and produce with them – and the supplier base vitality to make these systems accessible.

NDCC will provide access to incubation resources for start-up supplier companies as well as facilitate the development of training and education programs to support the vitality of the technology skilled workforce.
