The North Texas Commission and FORTUNE magazine congratulate the 24 North Texas-based companies listed in the 2010 FORTUNE 500 listing. The FORTUNE 500 list was released on April 15 on FORTUNE magazine’s Web site, www.fortune.com, and will be available on newsstands April 19. In July of 1955, FORTUNE magazine produced its first directory of biggest companies representing all industrial sectors, which became known as the FORTUNE 500.
