We realize there are many tough decisions being made today at American Airlines. While the workforce is being reduced as part of the restructuring, it is being done for the greater good of the company and its thousands of employees. The North Texas region is a growing economy and we believe there will be opportunities for those affected. The North Texas Commission announced the appointment of David Tesmer, senior vice president for advocacy and community benefit for Texas Health Resources, as board secretary for the 2012 fiscal year.
In addition, new board members added include Jeff Fegan, CEO of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Trent Smith, senior VP of network development, Jason Gray, city manager, City of McKinney, and Kevin Ward, general manager of Trinity River Authority.

Holly Reed, regional vice president for AT&T, will serve as the 2012 chairwoman of the North Texas Commission; and former Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief will serve as the vice chairman. Tom Oppenheim, managing director for Morgan Keegan, will serve as Treasurer.
