Launches Tuesday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m.
The North Texas Commission, a regional organization of public and private sector leaders, will launch a free Webinar series that examines challenges the region is facing with experts facilitating a discussion focused on creating solutions. The series, Topic: North Texas will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. Each month a different industry expert will lead a 20-minute presentation of the issue and then open to dialogue to discuss possible solutions. Topic: North Texas launches with a discussion led by NTC Senior Consultant and Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition Executive Vic Suhm on “Transportation – Needs, Challenges and Solutions” on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. This Webinar will explore why transportation is important, the condition and performance of our transportation system, the costs of continuing the status quo, and how we can improve mobility.
“The population of North Texas is projected to grow by three million people over the next two decades. While this is a great opportunity for the region and the citizens, if we don’t come together to address some of our key issues, this growth could make us vulnerable,” said Dan S. Petty, president and CEO of the North Texas Commission. “Topic: North Texas provides a forum for an open dialogue of these issues to work towards regional solutions.”
