North Texas Clean Air Coalition announces new officers and board of directors

The North Texas Clean Air Coalition elected its slate of officers and board of directors for 2010, Jennifer Cohen, project director for the North Texas Clean Air Coalition announced this month.

The newly named board of directors is responsible for guiding and directing the North Texas Clean Air Coalition in its mission to educate, engage and recognize the business community’s efforts to improve air quality in our region.

Here are the 2010 board of director’s officers: Chairman Richard Maxwell, The T; Immediate Past Chairman Cathy Altman, Carrington Coleman Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP; Chair Elect Rusty Hodapp, DFW Airport Board; Secretary Tony McQuary, Peterbilt Motors Company.

The 2010 board also includes Jerry W. Allen, Johnson County; Jay Barksdale, Dallas Regional Chamber; Kristina Brevard, Denton County Transportation Authority; D.D. Currie, Lockheed Martin; Joe Downing II, Bell Helicopter; Howard Gilberg, Guida, Slavich & Flores, P.C.; Leah King, Chesapeake Energy; Nathan Joe Loftice, FedEx Office; Mindy Mize, North Central Texas Council of Governments; Dennis Mochon, DART; Brinton Payne, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce; Dan S. Petty, North Texas Commission; Kathy Thomas, Half Price Books; and Allen Wallach, Concussion Advertising. Dr. Tim Barth, Texas Christian University and City of North Richland Hills Councilmember was elected Chairman of the Business Community Outreach Committee. Ms. Kristina Brevard, DCTA has been elected Vice Chair of the Business Community Outreach Committee.

According to Cohen, this year’s board of directors is comprised of individuals representing some of the region’s most notable businesses, local governments and nonprofits.

“With federal regulations that would negatively impact the economic development of North Texas looming and air quality as a top-of-mind concern, we continue to recruit leading executives and organizations to help achieve our mission to improve the air we breathe,” Cohen said.
