NTC to add several new committees to its current roster
The North Texas Commission Executive Committee officers unveiled results of an almost year-long process to renew the NTC's core strategies. These initiatives will help the organization become more focused to be the leading advocate for the North Texas region.

The application deadline for the 2010-2011 Leadership North Texas class is Friday, April 30, at noon. The NTC is looking for 35 leaders from across the region to serve in the second class which runs September 2010 through May 2011. Read More

The North Texas Future Fund collaborated with regional businesses and educators in an effort to create a model for workplace education programs. The Region C Water Planning Group (RCWPG) – which is responsible for developing a long-term water plan for the 16-county North Central Texas region – approved a draft version of the 2011 Region C Water Plan and prepared to take public input on the plan. Read More
Mesquite Metro Airport
The City of Mesquite continues to take a positive approach to the future development of Mesquite Metro Airport as part of its revitalization plans for the city. The city recently purchased property on the south end of the airport to ensure protection of runway approaches from future incompatible land use and development. A 22.6 acre parcel of property adjacent to the west side of the airport was also purchased for future airport expansion and hangar development.
