Irving, Feb. 1, 2007 — Now more than ever, logistics capabilities make the difference between success and failure in today’s fast-moving highly competitive business environment. The ability to deliver the right product in the right amount at the right time is absolutely critical to the success of any company. The North Texas Metroplex is well positioned to “deliver the goods” to major markets around the world. Today, the North Texas Commission (NTC) is proud to launch the second edition of its North Texas logistics brochure. The circulation of the brochure is an effort to publicize the region's strong presence in supply chain and logistics, and to attract even more businesses to the Metroplex.

The brochure, Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex: America’s Global Logistics Center, was developed by the Logistics Committee of the North Texas Commission and contains valuable supply chain and logistics information for businesses around the world interested in relocating to the Metroplex, or for those businesses simply interested in working with companies in North Texas. The brochure includes details about cost of living, major passenger and cargo airports, transportation, technology developments, and supply chain and logistics education within the region.

According to Dan S. Petty, president and CEO of the North Texas Commission, “The North Texas Commission is thrilled to showcase this valuable marketing piece to our members, the region and the rest of the world. The Commission is extremely pleased with the abundant economic and business development in the supply chain and logistics industry throughout the Metroplex, and we’re happy to know that this effort is helping North Texas become the region of choice.”
