North Texas is well-known as a business-friendly location with a "can-do" attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit. Among the largest industries in the area are health, financial services, tourism, aviation and defense, logistics and transportation, telecommunications and information technology. North Texas also ranks second in the U.S. as a high-tech economy, behind only Silicon Valley.
