North Texas Aviation Marketing Committee

The aviation industry is among the strategic industries in the region that NTC targets for special marketing. Promoting this industry is a challenge that falls to the North Texas Aviation Marketing Committee (NTAMC).

North Texas Aviation Marketing Committee (NTAMC)

The North Texas Aviation Marketing Committee is made up of 16 business leaders and airport executives/managers from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Although this committee focuses on marketing the aviation industry, it also works on logistic matters, legislative activities and education/ work force issues that affect general/business aviation.

Among many accomplishments, the NTAMC has produced a copyrighted aviation business directory on CD-ROM entitled North Texas: World Center of Aviation, which lists the aviation assets of the North Texas region including airports, businesses and schools offering aviation and aviation-related subjects and degrees. The major portion of the directory is devoted to the alphabetical and categorical listing of over 850 aviation-related businesses in 58 categories. The committee updated an aviation marketing brochure for the D/FW Metroplex in 2007.

The committee sponsors periodic breakfasts, luncheons and other events to update the business community on developments in the aviation industry and to keep the aviation community informed of developments affecting their businesses. Additionally, this committee organizes North Texas aviation exhibits at appropriate aviation business trade shows (including the National Business Aviation Association's Annual Convention and Meeting) and conferences, both domestically and internationally. They showcase D/FW Metroplex aviation business and airports including Dallas Love Field, Fort Worth Alliance Airport and thirteen other general/business aviation airports in the region. Trade show participation opportunities for committee members are at a prorata cost basis which permits more companies and airports to attend and expand their market share at a reasonable cost.

The committee also monitors legislative activity that impacts the aviation industry and keeps the membership apprised of significant legislative activity affecting this industry.

Furthermore, the committee also works with local aviation-oriented schools to highlight both aviation job opportunities for graduates and graduate information for local aviation businesses.

DFW International Airport Assistance

The aviation industry is closely tied to the North Texas Commission’s efforts to assist Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in its continuing growth. The North Texas Aviation Marketing Committee and NTC Logistic Committee serve.
