Description: The DFW Connector is a $1.02 billion project to improve State Highway 114 and State Highway 121 near the north entrance of DFW International Airport. The 8-mile project will expand and rebuild roadways and improve mobility and air quality on a corridor driven by as many as 300,000 people each day. At its widest point, the DFW Connector will have up to 24 lanes. The project is to be complete by 2014. Selma Stockstill, Public Information Manager with NorthGate Constructors, will provide an update on the DFW Connector project and discuss some of the innovative techniques NorthGate is employing to keep both construction and traffic flowing. Dan Lamers with North Central Texas Council of Governments will speak on what this project will mean to Northeast Tarrant County and the region as a whole, and Greg Royster, senior airport planner for DFW International Airport, will discuss what this expansion means to the airport.
