American Relief Plan Allocation Forum

 

Thank you to Dallas County Commissioner and Regional Transportation Council Chair Theresa Daniel, DFW Hospital Council CEO Steve Love, Metrocare Services CEO Dr. John Burruss, and Texas Taxpayers and Research Association President Dale Craymer for participating in our NTX Regional Chamber Coalition's Advocacy Forum.

 

During this program, Commissioner Daniel shared highlights of Infrastructure projects that would benefit from funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). These projects would create jobs and improve North Texas' infrastructure. Mr. Love and Dr. Burruss shared ideas on how ARPA funds would increase access to health care and provide opportunities for medical research, cybersecurity and other programs that would improve the quality of health care for North Texans. Mr. Craymer shared ideas on how budget surplus funds could provide property tax relief and create economic development incentives.

The RCC supports these issues and will advocate for the region's priorities as state legislators consider the allocation of ARPA funds. Please reach out to an RCC member with questions and to explore advocacy opportunities for these priorities.
