North Texas Population Climbs to 7.1 Million

7.1

The North Texas region crossed a major milestone with the release of the latest population data from the U.S. Census Bureau. According to the Bureau, between July 1, 2014 to July 1, 2015, the North Texas region added 144,704 bringing the region’s population to more than 7.1 million. Growth predictions indicate the North Texas region could be home to 7.8 million people by 2020.

This growth is due to the major increase of relations and expansions North Texas – and Texas as a whole – has experienced in the past several years. The state and region has become a magnet to both businesses and individuals looking for a central of the U.S. location with low cost of living and low cost of doing business.

With the new population number, we’ve updated our growth rate statistic. We now add 1.37 people every 5 minutes to the North Texas population.
