North Texas businesses suffering worst pandemic-related financial losses in state, survey says
Businesses operating in North Texas reported the biggest COVID-related losses in sales and revenue in the state, and Dallas-Fort Worth area businesses also indicated they were less likely to survive in the current economic conditions when compared to state averages.
In addition, businesses in the North Texas and the Gulf Coast estimated they will suffer more long-term negative impacts to their staffing levels than other businesses across the state, according to results of a survey and report released Thursday assessing COVID-19’s initial impact on Texas businesses. The results, which compare the impact among seven regions identified by the Texas Association of Business, were released by a coalition of business and economic development advocates, including the North Texas Commission.
