WE ARE NORTH TEXAS
The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is unique. Home to 7.7 million people, North Texas, is one of the fastest-growing regions in the U.S. We are currently the nation’s 4th largest region, and we are quickly making our way to the top three as we have 15 cities with a population of more than 100,000. We are proud to have a diverse, strong economy with a positive future trajectory.
A region as unique as ours needs a special kind of organization to serve it. That is why the North Texas Commission exists.
We convene and educate public and private sector leaders to ensure that state and federal policies promote strong local governments, support excellence in public schools, increase the skilled workforce pipeline, and safeguard a thriving business environment.
Together as a unified region, we will continue to improve the sustainability and inclusivity of our growing economy.
We advocate on behalf of our region, with our chambers of commerce and other associations at our side, for issues that have no city or county boundaries. Both our state and federal legislative agendas typically cover issues such as infrastructure development, business and municipal friendly legislation, education/workforce accessibility and diversity protection.
The NTC provides extensive professional training and diversity programming for established and rising leaders. We also inform decision makers from around the world about the benefits of doing business in North Texas through our award-winning publications and digital marketing. And our data/research services are quickly making us the region’s go-to policy think tank to prepare our area for future growth.
Convening is deep in our roots. From the region’s top business leaders, our founders who came together in 1971, to leading the bid for Super Bowl XLV, and even today with the development of our legislative priorities – none of it can be accomplished without the region’s stakeholders at the table. We bring our experts – our members – together to help guide us every step of the way.
