As Chairman of the Railroad Commission of Texas, she has spent over a decade ensuring our state’s energy sector remains safe, responsible, and thriving—helping Texas cement its place as the economic engine of the United States.
Under Christi’s leadership, the Texas oil and gas industry made history in
2024, generating a record-breaking $27.3 billion in contributions to the state—
funding public schools, infrastructure, law enforcement, and border security.
Her commitment to fiscal responsibility, free-market principles, and cutting
government bloat and inefficiency has helped drive Texas’ success.
A lifelong Texan, Christi holds both a Bachelor’s Degree as a Plan II graduate
and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas at Austin.
Before joining the Railroad Commission, she built a career specializing in oil,
gas, electricity, water, taxation, and environmental policy—all areas crucial to
Texas’ future.
Now, Christi is ready to bring her proven leadership and conservative values
to the Texas Comptroller’s office. With a strong record of efficiency,
transparency, and responsible budgeting, she will ensure Texas’ economic
future remains bright.
She lives in Austin with her daughter, Catherine, and is an active member of
St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
