Keynote speaker, Sarah Rhoads, vice president for Amazon Global Air, was joined by Hillwood's Ross Perot Jr. for a conversation on Rhoads' career as a naval fighter pilot, her work with Amazon, and the time she spent working in North Texas.

Barclay Berdan, CEO of Texas Health Resources, led a conversation between Mayor Betsy Price of Fort Worth and newly elected Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson to discuss their plans for championing growth and regional collaboration.

The North Texas Commission’s 45th anniversary was presented by Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., with keynote speaker, Dana Perino.

 

Perino, the first female Republican White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush, gave a compelling speech on the importance of messaging through the media and leading by example. As a political commentator on Fox’s The Five, Perino left the audience with five things to look for in the upcoming presidential election.

 

To close out the program, the nearly sold-out audience was specially introduced to the incoming North Texas Commission President and CEO, James Spaniolo. Exciting the audience, Spaniolo spoke of his love for North Texas, his commitment to fulfill the mission of the North Texas Commission and his excitement to build bridges for the future of the organization.

The North Texas Commission’s 43rd Annual Members’ Luncheon celebrated the DFW International Airport turning 40 years old with keynote speaker, Gary Knell, CEO of National Geographic. The North Texas Commission was founded in 1971 to bring North Texas together for what has become our greatest regional asset – DFW Airport. Connecting our region to 59 international destinations, DFW Airport has brought the world to our backyard, and allows North Texans to expand our global footprint.

The North Texas Commission’s 42nd Annual Members’ Luncheon brought the Final Four to North Texas 200 days early. With 11 different speakers and panelists taking the stage, it was a full court press for information on the regional and community impact March Madness would bring to our region along with one player from each participating team in the 1986 Dallas Final Four.
