North Texas Future Fund Opens Nomination Period for 2010 Bridge AwardsThe North Texas Future Fund will hold its second annual Bridge Awards luncheon on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 featuring keynote speaker Dr. Ray Hart, an Associate Professor of Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University and President and CEO of RS Hart and Partners. The luncheon will take place at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth. The Bridge Awards honor individuals, literacy providers, organizations and corporations who have made significant contributions to improving literacy in North Texas. The winners of the inaugural Bridge Awards include J.R. Labbe, Fort Worth Star-Telegram Editorial Page editor in the Individual Advocate category, Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT) and the Rotary Club of Fort Worth in the Community Advocate category and Chesapeake Energy Corporation and Verizon in the Corporate Advocate category.
