In addition to the 140 pros who teed it up at the tournament's reermgence, a total of four amateur players had the opportunity to earn spots in the field through a qualifying “Collegiate Shootout” in mid-March and a “High School Shootout” that took place the week before the LPGA tournament.

The North Texas Shootout was continues to be held in North Texas with Cheyenne Knight as the most recent tournament winner in October of 2019.
