The North Texas Commission announced the election and appointment of its new officers, Executive Committee and Directors to its Board. Robert Hastings, executive vice president for Bell Helicopter Textron will serve as the 2016 chairman of the North Texas Commission. Stephen Tolerico, chief marketing officer, Sewell Automotive Companies, will serve as vice chairman. Kevin Ward, general manager, Trinity Water Authority, will become secretary and Gray Mayes, director, government relations, Texas Instruments, moves into the immediate past chairman role. Dan Johnson, city manager, City of Richardson, will continue his role as treasurer, and Hal Thorne, OnePrime, will serve as general counsel.
Newly appointed to the North Texas Commission Executive Committee are: Mayor Doug Athas, City of Garland (Suburban); Cameron Curtis, Turner Construction Company (At-Large); Andrew Johnsen, BNSF Railway (Fort Worth); Mayor Maher Maso, City of Frisco (Suburban); Dr. Joe May, Dallas County Community College (Dallas); Scott Orr, Fidelity Investments (At-Large); and Michelle Riddell, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (Suburban).
The following directors will remain on the Executive Committee for 2016: Chris Felan, Atmos Energy (At-Large); Bob Pence, Freese and Nichols (At-Large); Holly Reed, AT&T (At-Large); David Tesmer, Texas Health Resources (At-Large).
Newly appointed board members are: Baker Ashiwaya, AECOM; Anne Glasscock, Kaufman Chamber of Commerce; Brad Gorrondona, Gorrondona & Associates, Inc.; Karen Green, Ebby Halliday Realtors; Jamee Jolly, Plano Chamber of Commerce; Rob Lewin, FlowServe Corp.; Mindy Manson, City of Wylie; Grace McDermott, U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce; Benjamin Rand, Tarrant County College District; Chancellor Veronica Stidvent, WGU Texas; Cliff Wall, Huitt-Zollars; and Shelley Whiddon, Alliance Data.
Maura Gast, Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau, joined as an Ex-Officio Board member.
