Come to North Texas and you’ll find yourself entering a blissful, relaxed state. At least that’s what WalletHub, the personal finance site, says in a new survey of the Most and Least Stressed Cities in America.
As WalletHub says, stress is inevitable, and not at all bad, but when stress turns chronic it can negatively impact a person’s health and productivity, which will then impact his or her community.
The study ranked 150 cities across the U.S. with 1 being the most and 150 being the least. All six North Texas cities rank on the least stressed side of the scale:
Fort Worth (74) Arlington (78) Dallas (91) Garland (114) Irving (118) Grand Prairie (120) Plano (144)
Plano was ranked one of the top 10 least stressed cities in America.
The study examined the 150 most populated cities in the country across five key dimensions:
Work-related Stress
Money-related Stress
Family-related Stress
Health- & Safety-related Stress
Coping with Stress
It’s no surprise that North Texas cities are among the least stressed. With a strong economy, low cost of living and a plethora of arts and cultural offerings, North Texas routinely tops lists of best places to live, work and play.
And, now, a great place to relax. Ommmmm ….
