The Economic Impact of Immigrants in North Texas

On Wednesday, July 24, the North Texas Commission and New American Economy released a report on the Demographic and Economic Contributions of Immigrants in the Metro Area.

In order for our economy to grow, we must have a reliable workforce. In total, the immigrant population makes up 18.7% of the region’s population and 85.6% of the immigrant population are of working age. That is over 20% higher than the U.S. born population.
