It’s no secret that North Texas continues to be one of the fastest growing regions in the U.S., but according to a new study from Vocativ, six North Texas cities are ranked as the best for people 35 and under. As a region, North Texas is home to more cities on the list than any other metropolitan region. Additionally, Texas dominates as a millennial magnet with nine of the 35 cities.
The report states that “the Lone Star State has cheap rent, gas and Wi-Fi, a ton of young people and a booming economy.”
The Livability Index: The 35 Best U.S. Cities for People 35 and underutilized open-source Internet data to measure statistics like salary and employment rates, cost of rent and utilities as well as quality of life items like public transportation, weather and crime.
Arlington topped the list of North Texas cities coming in at #2 behind New York City. Fort Worth (#12), Dallas (#14), Irving (#21), Plano (#23) and Garland (#35) round out the list.
